Montgomery General Hospital enacts TEMPORARY VISITOR POLICY: Montgomery General, along with all Montgomery County hospitals, is prohibiting general visitation of children 12 and under except in end-of-life circumstances or to accompany a family member to the Emergency Department.
We also continue to restrict visits to the Maternal Newborn Center to persons 18 and older.
Visiting Hours
Observing visiting hours is a very important part of caring for our inpatients. To foster a restful and caring environment for our patients, please limit the number of visits to no more than two visitors per patient at one time.
However, we do our best to be flexible and meet the needs of family and friends, so just ask if you arrive outside of the following hours:

General Visiting Hours on Medical/Surgical Units: 12-8 p.m.
- Intensive Care Units: 7:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.; 4:00 - 6:30 p.m.; and 7:30 - 11:00 p.m.
Maternal Newborn Center: Immediate family only, 1-8 p.m. [In the interest of keeping patients, families and employees as flu-free as possible, no visitors aged 18 and under are permitted on the Maternal Newborn Unit. Please make arrangements prior to your visit.]

Addiction and Mental Health Center: Daily, 6:30-8 p.m., Saturday, Sunday and Holidays, 1:30-3 p.m.

CDU: By patient invitation only, in conjunction with unit programs, on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and on Sunday afternoons

Emergency Room: You may be given access to the treatment area by first contacting a registrar, volunteer or triage nurse. Please designate one person as the key contact to interact with ER staff.
