Peter W. Monge, President


As President of MGH Health Services, Peter Monge is responsible for Montgomery General Hospital, MGH Community Health, MGH Health Foundation, and MGH Diversified Services. Before joining Montgomery General in 1990, Mr. Monge was Chief Executive Officer of DuBois Regional Medical Center, a 221-bed hospital in DuBois, Pennsylvania.

During his tenure at DuBois he oversaw the merger of DuBois Regional Medical Center with Maple Avenue Hospital, a 109-bed hospital, where Mr. Monge was the administrator from 1982 to 1985. Mr. Monge earned a Master's Degree in Hospital Administration from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in 1975, and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, which he earned at Thiel College in Greenville, Pennsylvania in 1973.

A fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Mr. Monge serves on the Executive Committee and is Chairman of the Clinical & Quality Issues Committee of the Maryland Hospital Association, and is the Maryland Delegate to the Regional Policy Board of the American Hospital Association. In addition, he is a graduate and former board member of Leadership Montgomery.
