Home Care Aide Services
MGH Personal Care provides certified Home Care Aides to assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, walking, meal preparation, grocery shopping and light housekeeping duties.
Home Care Aide services may be scheduled on a daily or weekly basis. Services can be scheduled from a minimum of two hours to 24 hours per day. All MGH Personal Care services are supervised by a registered nurse (RN) who assists in the development of the care plan and oversees services provided. Prior to employment all staff receive comprehensive criminal background checks and drug and alcohol testing.
Skilled Nursing Services
MGH Personal Care provides skilled nursing services to individuals in their homes. Our RNs and licensed practical nurses (LPNs) provide patient care under doctor's orders. We offer the following services: medication management, blood draws, wound care, psychiatric nursing assessment and management, gastric tube management and patient education.
Mental Health Nursing
Psychiatric nursing is a specialty that focuses on the assessment and alteration of human behavior. It begins with the assessment of a person's perceptions, thoughts, feelings and behaviors through listening and observing. Once the patient's problems have been identified, the nurse will plan interventions in consultation with the patient, family and physician. The psychiatric nurse's primary goal is to improve the patient's level of functioning.
