John F. Hogarty, Senior Vice President & CFO

John Hogarty is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Montgomery General Hospital. A certified public accountant, he is responsible for the overall financial management of the hospital, overseeing admitting, general accounting, patient accounting, and materials management, as well as management information systems, and contract negotiation.
Before joining Montgomery General Hospital in 1990, Mr. Hogarty was Vice President of Financial Services for Physicians' Memorial Hospital, a 131-bed, acute care, community hospital in La Plata, Maryland. Prior to joining Physicians' Memorial in 1983, he was manager of McBee Associates, a financial consulting firm specializing in the healthcare industry.
Mr. Hogarty earned a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Loyola College in Baltimore, Maryland in 1977. He became a Certified Public Accountant in 1982. He is a member of the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants, an advanced member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
