The centerpiece of the Cardiac and Vascular Program is the new Cardiac and Vascular Laboratory, or angiography suite, which features the most technologically advanced equipment and therapies for blocked arteries, aneurysms, and clots in the legs, kidneys, head and neck, heart and other areas of the body. Procedures are minimally invasive, meaning patients require less time for recovery and often are able to return home the same day. The Cardiac and Vascular Lab enables our doctors to offer the full range of cardiac care services on site, rather than transporting patients to a hospital far from home.
Using the new equipment, doctors can view the insides of vessels in great detail. Then, depending on the nature of the problem, the physician can choose laser therapy, balloon angioplasty, or cryotherapy.
