Addiction and Mental Health Center
About the Center
The Addiction and Mental Health Center (AMHC) is an integral component of Montgomery General Hospital and has earned an excellent reputation over the past 35 years for the delivery of a broad range of fully integrated inpatient, outpatient, crisis, community education and outreach services. Today, the AMHC is the most comprehensive treatment center based at a general hospital in the Baltimore/Washington area.
Since its establishment as a Community Mental Health Center, the AMHC has provided services to a culturally diverse client population, which has included anyone 13 years of age and older. Experienced professionals with specific training in dealing with these populations meet the special needs of adolescents, adults and older adults. In order to provide the best possible client care, the AMHC has developed collaborative relationships with many other service providers and community professionals.
